OPPO introduced the OPPO A55s to the Japanese market earlier today. The smartphone is designed specifically for the Japanese market, including features such as IP68 rating that are not always present in affordable OPPO phones sold globally.

The OPPO A55s is featured with a 6.5-inch full HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180HZ. The smartphone also has an IP68 designation, which means it can endure dust and be immersed for up to thirty minutes at a maximum depth of 1.5 meters underwater.
The OPPO A55s is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 Processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot allows for memory increase on the smartphone. The smartphone comes preloaded with Android 11 and OPPO’s ColorOS 11 skin, as well as a 4000mAh battery that supports up to 18W fast charging.

On the rear, the OPPO A55s has a dual-camera configuration, with a primary 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, as well as an LED light. For video calls and selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel camera on the front. The OPPO A55s costs JPY 33,800 ($296). The smartphone is available for buying in Japan on November 26th, 2021, although pre-orders began today. Green and Black are the two color options offered for the smartphone. The smartphone might be released in other South Asia countries, although OPPO has yet to give any information about its availability outside of Japan.
