Sharp Aquos R6 Mobile Leaked Renders Looks an Unusual Design

Sharp Aquos R6 Smartphone Summary

Sharp is a smartphone maker based in Japan. It is not widely used on the world market. Sharp cameras, on the other hand, are popular for their Qualcomm 800-series chipsets and impressive displays. Sharp is now preparing to announce its new premium handset, the Sharp Aquos R6. It will be the replacement for the recently released Aquos R5G. We already have device renders revealing a new design before the launch date.

The device’s renders were provided by camera leaker @nokishita c. He says that the Sharp Aquos R6 could be working with Leica. The term “co-engineered with Leica” is commonly used on Huawei products, but we all know that business for Huawei has been difficult since before the US ban.

Can Leica team up with Sharp and leave Huawei? The only way to know is to wait and see. Even so, Sharp would benefit if they work with Leica to better their camera.

In terms of renderings, the Sharp Aquos R6 seems to be special. It has an eye-catching feature, with a large camera module in the middle. There appear to be two image sensors and a LED flash. Each of the sensors is massive. A curved display can be seen on the front.

The selfie camera will be housed in a punch-hole notch on the smartphone. Overall, the interface seems to be thick. The leaker also claims that the Aquos R6 will be out on May 10th. Let’s take a look at the Aquos R5G smartphone from last year.

The Aquos R5G was introduced in February of last year. It also has a unique design. I wasn’t a fan of the model of the long vertical camera module. The teardrop notch was also present on last year’s smartphone, which was out of date even in 2020.

In addition, the mobile had a capacitive fingerprint scanner, which gave it an old-school design. Hopefully, this terrible situation will not be seen on the upcoming R6 model.

In terms of performance, the Aquos R5G has a 6.5-inch QHD+ IPS display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone has a quad-camera configuration that includes a 12MP main shooter with OIS, a 12MP telephoto lens with OIS, a 48MP ultrawide snapper with 8K recording support, and a ToF sensor.

A 16MP selfie camera is placed on the front of the device. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 865 and a 3,730mAh battery. I’m hoping that this time the company will use an OLED display and a larger battery.
