Upcoming Oppo Reno 6 Pro Smartphone Spotted on US FCC Site

  • The Oppo Reno 6 Pro will come with a 4,500mAh battery and 65W fast charging.
  • The phone will be powered by Android 11 with a ColorOS 11.3 overlay on top.
  • The Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ has a Full-HD+ OLED display of 6.55 inches.

The Oppo Reno 6 Pro has officially been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. An FCC certification is a strong indication that the smartphone will be released globally, or at least in the United States. In China, Oppo introduced the Reno 6, Reno 6 Pro, and Reno 6 Pro+ late last month. The Oppo Reno 6 Pro worldwide variation looks to be a rebranded Reno 6 Pro+ based on the different dimensions displayed in the FCC listing. While both phones have many similarities, they have different camera setups and different SoCs (Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 vs. MediaTek Dimensity 1200).

Oppo Reno 6 Pro Smartphone (Global Variant) Specifications [Expected]

Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) tweeted about the FCC certification of the Oppo Reno 6 Pro, with model number CPH2247 — which has already been reported as the Reno 6 Pro model number in various countries outside of China. According to the description, the Oppo smartphone would run ColorOS 11.3 on Android 11. A 4,400mAh (4,500 mAh usual) battery with 65W fast charging capability will also be included. These specifications are identical to those of the Oppo Reno 6 Pro and Reno 6 Pro+ models, which were unveiled in China. The Reno 6 Pro will also have four 5G bands: N5, N7, N38, and N41.

However, as previously mentioned, the CPH2247 model’s measurements and weight reveal a 7.9mm thickness and a weight of 188 grams, which corresponds to the China model of the Oppo Reno 6 Pro+, not the Oppo Reno 6 Pro, which has a thickness of 7.6mm and a weight of 177 grams. If Oppo is rebranding the Reno 6 Pro+ as the Reno 6 Pro for international markets, we can expect the Reno 6 Pro+ to have the same specifications as the Reno 6 Pro+.

A 6.55-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera are among the other features shared by the Oppo Reno 6 Pro+ and Reno 6 Pro. In terms of SoC and rear cameras, however, there are significant differences. The Reno 6 Pro+ is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 processor and a quad-camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 16-megapixel secondary sensor, a 13-megapixel tertiary sensor, and a 2-megapixel quaternary sensor.

The Reno 6 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC and features a quad-camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and two 2-megapixel sensors on the back.
