Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Update Received that 2GB Virtual RAM Enabled

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro: Virtual RAM isn’t a brand-new feature on PCs. For eons, the feature has been accessible on a variety of operating systems. It’s finally making its way to smartphones. This is becoming a trend, depending on whether you believe it’s a gimmick, marketing, or anything else in this class. It all started when Vivo released an OriginOS feature that allowed for more RAM. After then, the feature was moved to FuntouchOS 11 builds. Xiaomi is now offering another kind of virtual RAM memory.

However, the company is taking things carefully since this might be a feature that will be kept under wraps until MIUI 13 is released. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is now one of the first Xiaomi smartphones to have an additional RAM option. The company is rolling out an update to the premium mid-range smartphone that includes 2GB of virtual RAM.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is the company’s most powerful smartphone. It’s currently only available in China, but the POCO X3 GT is expected to make its global debut next month. A 6nm processor, the Dimensity 1100 SoC, and a Mali-G77 GPU with nine cores make up the device’s remarkable configuration.

Xiaomi is now sending out an update that will add more RAM to the smartphone’s various versions. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G comes in two RAM variants: 6 GB and 8 GB RAM. So, if you enable the option, the system will take a segment of your internal storage and increase it to 8 GB or 10 GB, respectively. Although virtual RAM isn’t the same as physical RAM, it can possibly provide certain benefits.

The new update is quite minor, composed mainly of a patch that adds the new features. We’re certain that Xiaomi will begin to deploy this functionality on additional devices in the coming years. However, it should be included as one of the major features in the MIUI 13 OS upgrade. Insignificant MIUI updates, Xiaomi generally implements certain features before revealing the final implementation.

The same thing happened with the motions mode and Dark Mode. One of the major announcements at the MIUI 13 presentation is likely to be the virtual RAM functionality. However, we do not believe it will be available on all smartphones. After all, it necessitates internal storage with reasonable read rates, such as those based on the UFS 2.1 standard or above.

Are you looking forward to the extra RAM? Or does it appear to be a gimmick? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
