In October, the OnePlus 9RT was launched in China, with a lot of progress over the OnePlus 9R, which was released in April of this year. The smartphone has been relaunched as the OnePlus RT for India, according to a Google Play Console listing. In terms of a release date, it was only announced today that the smartphone would be available in the country next month.
However, trusted source Max Jambor has finally confirmed the actual release date, putting all previous speculations to rest. According to him, the OnePlus RT would be released in India on December 16th, 2021, which is only 20 days away. According to another source, the smartphone would be released in the country in Nano Silver and Hacker Black color variants.
In terms of specifications, it’s reasonable to assume that the OnePlus RT will have the same specifications as the Chinese OnePlus 9RT. The smartphone will therefore have a 6.62-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, HDR10+ certification, and a 600Hz touch sampling rate. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is a significant boost over the Snapdragon 870 found in the OnePlus 9R, and will be combined with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The OnePlus RT has a triple camera configuration at the back, including a 50MP main camera, a 16MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. A 16MP selfie camera is placed within a left-aligned punch-hole on the front. The battery capacity is 4,500mAh, which can be charged fast due to the 65W fast charging capability.
Please keep in mind that OnePlus has yet to announce an official release date for the OnePlus RT / OnePlus 9RT in India, so take this information with a pinch of salt.
